The biggest danger for Russia in 2019 has been named
The main danger for Russia in 2019 may be the Kremlin’s “ostrich policy” towards Western “partners”.
This opinion was expressed in his telegram channel “Orthodox Politics” by the famous Russian conservative publicist, Archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church Vsevolod Chaplin.

“Over the past two years, Moscow has been demonstrating a weak foreign policy, which is increasingly dependent on the West. He becomes more and more helpless. Yes, we sometimes know how to respond to attacks with bright words, we could take active actions in Syria, for example. But the last two years have been an ostrich policy.
The risks are concessions to the West, both on the Ukrainian front, on the Far Eastern front, on the diplomatic front, on the educational and cultural front, and in the lives of our elites, too many of whom, alas, are fatally dependent on the West.
In the long term, concessions will be followed by even more terrible scenarios: provocations of revolutions, the collapse of the country, the dictatorship of a Western protege or simply controlled chaos, the death of a large number of people and strict external control,” Chaplin predicts.
“What is needed is not concessions, but offensives,” adds the archpriest.
