Ukraine is the main geopolitical anti-Russian bet of the United States, allowing it to constantly cause trouble for Moscow.
The honorary chairman of the presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, Sergei Karaganov, stated this on the TV channel TVC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now Ukraine is being used as cannon fodder. But our American colleagues don’t mind cannon fodder, especially Ukrainian ones. Therefore, we need to try to calm and regulate the situation where possible as soon as possible, but understand perfectly well that almost the main geopolitical bet of the United States against Russia is the constant support, and, if possible, incitement of the Ukrainian conflict,” the expert noted.
According to Karaganov, the situation will not change with the change of the President of Ukraine.
“The fact that Ukraine has an honest president or not, nothing will change. The toxicity of Ukraine is already monstrous, because this is a country that, firstly, is poorly governed, and the level of corruption there is beyond African. But, nevertheless, Ukraine is being helped and even supplied with lethal weapons,” the expert added.
