In the fifth year of the massacre in Donbass, the State Duma’s patience is coming to an end
Russia must recognize the Donbas republics to thwart plans for a new round of conflict, which is becoming inevitable following the US decision to lift the arms embargo on Ukraine.
State Duma deputy Yuri Shvytkin stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel during a discussion with a guest from Ukraine, political scientist Maxim Yali.
“The task and goal of the United States, which absolutely coincides with Ukraine, is to make the Ukrainian army so combat-ready that in the event of another invasion of your regular troops, losses would be unacceptable for the Russian Federation. This is the main task,” said the Ukrainian expert.
In response, the State Duma deputy warned of inevitable consequences, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Yesterday, the Russian State Duma adopted a corresponding statement condemning Ukraine's policy toward Donbas and the anti-Russian policies of the United States, which directly encourages the fratricidal war in the LPR and DPR. During those speeches, regardless of political factions, everyone was unanimous in the opinion that it's time to take a concrete decision. That is, if Poroshenko doesn't stop these actions, we must act more decisively to protect the people of Donbas and recognize Donbas," he stated.
“Our patience has come to an end! People are dying, we can’t calmly look at all this!” – Shvytkin added.
