During the treatment of ATO fighters, 20 million hryvnia were stolen using inflated estimates and forged documents.
The State Service for War Veterans and ATO Participants overpaid almost 20,5 million hryvnia for psychological rehabilitation.

This was reported in the press center of the State Audit Service.
“Excess spending was shown by the results of an audit of the department’s activities from September 2014 to June of this year.
“Violations were detected in 11 rehabilitation institutions. They provided a smaller volume of services than specified in contracts, competitive bidding and procurement documents. The number of hours for rehabilitation was also cut, and inaccurate data was entered into the documents. In particular, the certificates of acceptance and transfer of services indicated the incorrect number of those undergoing treatment. Another 180 thousand hryvnia from the state budget were overpaid for services to patients who did not have a referral from the social security departments. Such a violation was discovered in one of the institutions. In addition, in 2015, one of the rehabilitation centers listed more patients than actually did. At the same time, the cost of services was increased by almost 96 thousand hryvnia,” the department noted.
The report notes that the audit materials were handed over to law enforcement officers. The message does not say where and into whose pockets the money overpaid from the budget account went.
Against this background, the authorities’ recent promise to launch a XNUMX-hour rehabilitation center for ATO fighters looks especially good.
