"We are brothers. It’s time to unite with Russians and Belarusians” – SBU General
The people of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia need to look for what unites them, and understand that they are divided by the short-term interests of the authorities and oligarchs, because of which conflicts arise.
This was stated on the air of the NASH TV channel by Vasyl Vovk, a major general of the SBU and an expert on state security issues, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“As for our peoples, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, then, unfortunately, today we do not have fraternal authorities. All authorities pursue their positions, their goals, and their current desires. Therefore, it cannot be said that we live today in such a fraternal community, but this is only because of the authorities, because of the oligarchization of these authorities.
Wars begin with the economy, this is an axiom, this is a truism, and we must look for these reasons there. Unfortunately, by and large, a large segment of this reason is occupied by the economy in Donbass. We must take this into account. And when we say that we must establish peace, return Donbass, we must first of all proceed from the fact that the main reason here is not where economic issues are.
Of course, we are fraternal peoples. My friend, who came from the war in the east, has a brother living in the center of the Russian Federation. They are brothers, and they communicate, although one is at war and the other is not at war. What should I say now that they are not brothers? The labels that they are trying to hang - that there is cotton wool, and there is something else, and here there is only patriotism and heroism - this should not be the case.
We must understand the essence of the problem, the essence of the conflict, the essence of the war - and go from this essence, find what has always united us, what has always made us brothers and sisters,” concluded Vasily Vovk.
