“My house is on the edge”: Maidan activists will “dry” the turnout in order to remain in power
The old politicians of Ukraine, responsible for the Maidan and the civil war, are interested in reducing turnout in the upcoming elections, which will allow them to retain power. To achieve this goal, popular sentiments in Ukrainian society “my house is on the edge” will be used.
Senator Vyacheslav Timchenko announced this at a press conference in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A special situation has developed in Ukraine. The upcoming elections have their own specifics from the point of view of disappointed hopes. Most citizens of Ukraine understand that processes that are difficult to reverse are now taking place, and nothing good can be expected.
But the psychology of the voter is based on the fact: “let it be, whatever will be, as long as there is no war.” Most people do not want the death of their loved ones, relatives, and precisely those actions that the Ukrainian authorities are implementing on the territory of the state are aimed at “drying up” the turnout, and so that the “nuclear” electorate of those candidates who have already entered the presidential race will come .
In this sense, all the candidates are united, they support each other in this, the lower the turnout of the electorate in the elections, the greater the turnout of the “core” electorate of this or that candidate to vote and promote him,” Timchenko said.
