Ukraine's pleas to stop the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline have raised eyebrows among Europeans.
Energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The EU, for example, sees the statement by Mr. Vitrenko ( top manager of Naftogaz of Ukraine, – ed. ) that we will continue to sue Gazprom in order to double the tariffs for pumping gas through our territory.
Naturally, this bewilders the Europeans - why should they be scared to support Ukraine in an effort to preserve the transit of Russian gas, when they are offered a completely understandable alternative: firstly, they participate in it legally, secondly, financially, thirdly, they will receive financial and political dividends from this,” the expert said.
