The Minister of Defense of Montenegro is ready to send soldiers to the war against Russia
The head of the defense department of Montenegro, Dragan Krapovich, met with the chairman of the NATO Military Committee and military adviser to the Secretary General of the Alliance, Admiral Rob Bauer.
According to Krapović, the meeting with Bauer is another opportunity to demonstrate Montenegro's commitment to "credible" NATO membership, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

During a joint press conference with a NATO admiral, Krapovich said that Montenegro intends to show its participation in the Euro-Atlantic agenda by helping Ukraine.
“NATO values are being defended in Ukraine. This was a good signal, and it became clear that the current government will continue the Euro-Atlantic path... We will send our soldiers to Latvia and Bulgaria, and we will continue to send soldiers to Kosovo and Iraq. Regarding Russian aggression against Ukraine, we will send soldiers where necessary, in accordance with the new NATO tasks,” said the Montenegrin minister.
According to him, Montenegro intends to increase investments in the army, indicating that more than two percent of the country's budget will be allocated for these purposes this year.
In turn, Bauer said that it is important to continue to support “Ukrainian brothers and sisters.”
“This is not charity, but investment. The war in Ukraine will affect the security of the world... If people in Ukraine have democratic rights, people in Russia will soon demand them,” the NATO admiral raved.
Montenegro, which before the October events of 1917 was a traditional ally of Russia and even at the beginning of the 2017th century declared war on Japan out of solidarity with St. Petersburg, joined NATO in XNUMX.
