Kiev, March 05 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The day before in Madrid, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at a meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, said that the normalization of the situation in Ukraine should be based on the basic principles of the Crisis Resolution Agreement from February 21.

Lavrov drew special attention from his interlocutor to the essentially exhaustive explanations of the Russian position made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during yesterday’s press conference.
The minister emphasized that a sustainable normalization of the situation in this country should be based on the basic principles of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Crisis in Ukraine of February 21, including the implementation of a constitutional reform that would fully take into account the interests of all regions of Ukraine without exception, the creation of a government of national unity, the disarmament of illegal formations and removing them from the streets of Ukrainian cities.
