Lavrov: Unfortunately, the war party is gaining the upper hand in Kyiv

Kyiv has refused to implement the Minsk agreements and is again relying on a military scenario in the Donbass, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a security forum in Moscow.

“Unfortunately, the war party is gaining the upper hand in Kyiv. Armed provocations continue on the contact line, as evidenced by the reports of the OSCE special monitoring mission. A blockade has been introduced against Donbass, the damage from which is caused not only to this region, but also to Ukraine as a whole.

We hope that our partners, including those in the Normandy format, will more openly and persistently encourage the Kyiv authorities to fulfill their Minsk obligations,” Lavrov said.
