Crimea was allowed not to license new hospitals and medical equipment received in Russia over three years
Doctors in Crimea and Sevastopol will be able to work without licenses until January 1, 2020. The necessary changes to the federal constitutional law on the admission of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia were adopted today by the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“The feasibility of extending this period is related to the implementation of regional programs for the modernization of healthcare on the peninsula, aimed at equipping medical organizations with medical products and equipment in accordance with standards,” PolitNavigator quotes deputy Natalya Poklonskaya’s speech in the State Duma.

Today in Crimea, medical organizations do not have the opportunity to fully comply with licensing requirements in terms of providing documents that confirm the presence of buildings and medical products.
As part of the State Program for the Modernization of Healthcare of the Republic of Crimea in 2014-2015, over 5,1 billion rubles were spent. In the city of Sevastopol, 2014 medical organizations are involved in the healthcare modernization program for 2015-18; the total amount of funding for the program exceeded 929 million rubles. In 2016, since the program was extended, another 175,7 million rubles were additionally allocated for these purposes.
