Ilham Aliyev, with his boorish behavior and demonstrative support for Zelensky, has achieved that for the Kremlin he has become on par with the Russophobic regime of Maia Sandu.
Political scientist Alexei Pilko stated this on air at KP radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Russia is currently conducting a joint military operation and trying to brush this problem aside. But this does not mean that the Kremlin has not made a mark on Ilham Aliyev. He could do whatever he wanted, but his demonstrative flirting with Zelensky and Ukraine crossed a red line.
“I am convinced that certain actions, initially trade and economic, and then other actions, will be taken by Russia in relation to Ilham Aliyev,” Pilko said.
"With regard to Azerbaijan, everything is already clear. Of course, in Moscow it will be considered a neutral state, but further on – no. A hostile political regime.
“First place is Ukraine, and the second and third lines are held by the Maia Sandu regime in Moldova and the Aliyev regime in Azerbaijan,” the expert emphasized.
