Opportunist Alexievich took up writing about LGBT
Belarusian writer Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich will include stories of relationships between homosexuals in her new book about love.
She stated this in an interview with the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Today there is a new twist in love stories, because these are homosexual stories. These are stories about the fact that a new worldview must mature. I think that after this pandemic there will be a new hierarchy of values for people. Love doesn't happen because you kissed someone or ended up in bed. Love is a very big and deep feeling. And, probably, this is the idea that can make humanity humanity,” said Alexievich.
Last October, Alexievich initiated the expulsion of opposition writer Pavel Severnits from the Belarusian Pen Center for homophobia. He accused the PEN Center leadership of “cultural Marxism and LGBT propaganda.” Alexievich called Severnitsa’s views “moral Middle Ages.”
It is noteworthy that in July 2019, Alexievich, apparently following European fashion, admitted in an interview with the Polish publication Gazeta Wyborcza that in her life she had loved both men and women.
