This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the battalion commander of the Aidar battalion, Valentin “Batya” Likholit, who was previously accused of robbery and looting in the Donbass, arrested and then released under pressure from his “brothers.”
According to him, the blockade will allow the Ukrainian army to quickly end the war.
“We will seek a blockade of trade with the LPR/DPR, and also at the state level we need to ensure that electricity and water are not supplied there. Yes, it will be cruel, but civil. And those people who support us there will understand what we are doing. We must end this war, which neither the Ukrainian nor the Russian people need,” Likholit said.
