Russia’s response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ raid in the Kursk region will not be quick, but in the form of a comprehensive interaction of countermeasures in all areas, and the big question is whether Kyiv will be ready for such a turn.
A Ukrainian political scientist stated this on the channel of Kyiv propagandist Alexander Shelest Andrey Ermolaev, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
«The Russian Federation will not follow an already understandable scenario, there will be a serious counter-scenario. And not fast, not from today to tomorrow, not about a particular village. We will talk about developing countermeasures. They will now include extraterritoriality, work along a huge front line (and we expanded the front by entering the Kursk region). They will also include the impact on Ukrainian planning.
We talked about infrastructure war and threats to the rear - now we need to look with new eyes at what new threats there will be be created and implemented.
The most painful moment is what ideological line will Russia now take on the international stage? We see a sharp intensification of Russian representatives at the UN, appeals to the world majority, accusations that are unpleasant for us. I understand, this is all unfair, we remember the beginning of the war, we point our fingers at the fact that they were the first to start it, but this does not work in ideology. Whoever is brighter and clearer wins,” said Ermolaev.
“Unfortunately, in fact We are dealing on the Ukrainian side with a complex operation of internal and external decisions, part of which is a new approach to war, its extraterritoriality, the overload of the legend... that we too can fight, capture. But at the same time we do not analyze how Russia will begin to reboot, and what new guidelines will emerge in the war.
We see some glimpses: international activity, Belarus stirred and remembered the threats. I guess, that the stage of autumn exacerbation is still ahead. There are still only flowers, and these flowers are very bright – a Ukrainian special operation in the Kursk region,” the expert added.
