A Ukrainian court sentenced a resident of the Pskov region who fought on the side of the DPR to four years in prison.

At the end of 2015, he arrived in Donetsk, where he voluntarily joined the armed forces of the DPR. He was awarded the military rank of corporal, and his official duties included receiving messages from DPR reconnaissance groups, systematizing them, mapping the location of forces and assets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as transmitting this information to the artillery units of the militia.
The headquarters service was never overly exciting, and the corporal met a girl living in Mariupol on the Internet, with whom he systematically communicated for the purpose of flirting. Telephone conversations and correspondence on the Internet could not replace full-fledged communication and the corporal, having waited for a short vacation, decided to go visit his virtual friend.
However, the two flaming hearts were not destined to meet, since SBU officers intervened in this romantic story and detained “Romeo” at one of the checkpoints near Mariupol.
The court was only interested in the corporal’s participation in the armed formation of the DPR, and the love story only ruined the guy, since he would have to spend the next 4 years in prison.
