"Where are our BEKs? Where are our saboteurs?" Shurygin is astonished by the Black Sea Fleet's passivity.

In the fourth year of the Northern Military District, the Russian fleet in the Black Sea has yet to demonstrate the successful deployment of modern weapons. The attack on Novorossiysk is yet another example of this passive stance.

Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this in his video blog , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" This once again demonstrates how unprepared the Black Sea Fleet command is for the war we're currently facing . Time and again, over the past four years, we've seen our fleet constantly find itself in situations— sometimes dramatic, sometimes ridiculous, sometimes very difficult— from which it has to struggle to extricate itself.

Over the past 35 years, we've completely lost any understanding of the kind of war Russia should wage at sea. Yes, today's war is unlike anything we've ever seen before, and unlike anything we've seen before for anyone. Everyone, from the General Staff to the last soldier, is learning in this war, but we need to learn quickly, and we need to learn not only from our own mistakes ," Shurygin said.

He expressed the opinion that “ we do not have a single fleet as such,” but rather a motley mass of various warships at varying levels of readiness.

"All this has led to us currently being on the defensive in the Black Sea. Of course, we must understand that the navy has virtually no missions in relation to Ukraine today. We are not preparing amphibious operations; the current war is not conducive to them, so Ukraine has no combat fleet.

" And the Ukrainians' reliance on sabotage operations , on surface and underwater aircraft, is working, as we see. The only strange thing is why we don't see our unmanned aircraft, why we don't see attacks by our sabotage forces? This raises many questions in this case," the expert added.
