Radio Liberty reports this.

“We do not share the opinion that, in order to achieve peace, Ukraine should abandon its strategic course towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration or remove from the agenda strategic goals that are supported by the majority of society and are enshrined in Ukrainian legislation... Refusal from the vector of integration into the EU and NATO will not solve a single problem in relations with Moscow (after all, Ukraine was officially “non-aligned” at the time of the annexation of Crimea), but it will completely demoralize Ukrainian society and undermine confidence in Ukraine abroad as a country, does not have stable guidelines for its own development and is guided by the “juncture” and fears in certain historical paths. We do not believe that putting the issue of Crimea out of the picture and reintegrating the occupied Donbass on Russia’s terms (and this will happen as a result of the proposed “pseudo-elections”) will make Ukraine a viable state. On the contrary, having accepted such conditions, Ukraine will inevitably follow the path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will become only a nominally integral country, the further fragmentation of which will only be a matter of time. Refusal to fight for Crimea will mean betrayal not only of Crimean Ukrainians, but also of an entire people – the Crimean Tatars, who suffer from lawlessness under occupation,” the statement says.

At the same time, the Soros Foundation notes: “The International Renaissance Foundation reserves the right to determine further plans for cooperation with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, as well as with other partners of the Foundation, subject to compliance with general and program priorities.”
