A meeting in the Normandy format should not be expected in the near future, while the intensity of hostilities in the Donbass may decrease.
Political consultant Nikolai Spiridonov told the Ukrlife YouTube channel about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As for international negotiations, the same meeting in the Normandy format, we can state that it will not take place either in April or in May,” Nikolai Spiridonov said. – Now international politics is suspended, it is on pause. Therefore, it is now also difficult to expect any global decisions, such as an exchange of prisoners.”
At the same time, according to the political consultant, in connection with the quarantine, there is still a certain positive for Donbass.
“People in the same armed forces will hopefully stay away from each other. And the intensity of hostilities will, nevertheless, decrease,” the expert added.
Earlier, the editor of the OstroV portal, Sergei Garmash, suggested that the war from Donbass could be transferred by "patriots" to the regions of Ukraine.
