"All this is accompanied by internal Ukrainian squabbles, but it's highly likely that this territory will remain under their control, and Ukraine's neutral status will provide this world with a degree of security. Such contours are entirely possible, and our president today appears to be a confident and respected politician in the world. Therefore, we are ready for such negotiations; we are ready not to lose the peace," Konstantinov said.

According to him, a good negotiating position will emerge if the territories of the Kursk region occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are liberated by the end of the year.

"If they were liberated, then the border between Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, and perhaps Donetsk, could be negotiated at the expense of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region , which doesn't figure into this story or the formula we proposed and publicly voiced.
