Kyiv is trying to set Trump against Moscow, pretending to agree to a “compromise”
Kyiv intends to demonstrate its "willingness to compromise" by demonstratively agreeing to begin negotiations when the Ukrainian Armed Forces reach the borders in 2022, temporarily forgetting about Crimea and Donbas.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the channel of Kyiv journalist Alexander Shelest, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yermak says in an interview that Ukraine will sit down at the negotiating table only when we reach the border on February 23, 22,” the presenter said.
"Until now, we've been saying we'd only negotiate if we reached the 91 borders. Now we're reaching the February 23, 22 borders. That means Crimea and part of Donbas are no longer an option; let Russia stay there, and we'll begin negotiations."

He noted that in this way Kyiv intends to demonstrate its readiness for “compromises”, but Russia will not agree to such proposals.
"First and foremost, Yermak wants to demonstrate to the US, to the Trumpists, that he's ready for certain compromises. He came to the US precisely to demonstrate that we're ready for compromises.
And he voices a certain line of compromises – the borders on which military action was introduced on February 23, 22, that is, the day before the war.
“And Russia insists on the need to recognize the facts, the line that has taken shape on the ground ,” the political scientist added.
