The epicenter of events has moved to Lugansk
Lugansk - Moscow - Kyiv, April 22 (Navigator - Mikhail Stamm) - In Lugansk they are about to announce the creation of an independent republic following the example of the Donetsk region, reports Rossiyskaya Gazeta’s own correspondent. At the same time, they are preparing for a referendum on federalization.

The referendum is scheduled for May 11. Forms are already being printed, writes RG. In Kyiv, of course, it is not recognized, but another referendum, which the acting Turchynov proposed to hold, will not be counted by any OSCE observer. The fact is that after the announcement of the referendum, at least 50 days must pass before it is held. This is the Ukrainian law. By the time of the presidential elections, Kyiv no longer has time to hold a referendum on federalization. This means that it can only pass after the elections, which does not suit the majority of candidates. It would probably be more expedient to postpone the elections until the fall. And this prospect no longer suits the Maidan. The people of Donbass themselves will break this vicious circle: they will throw the ballot into the ballot box without looking at Kyiv, the author of the publication is convinced.
Of the six captured armored vehicles, the Donbass rebels have four left, the correspondent reports: someone stole two armored personnel carriers. Now the equipment is guarded by a platoon of machine gunners. The tanks are filled, the ammunition is in place. Natalya Sereda, an activist from the Donetsk Republic, was captured along with six other activists. They tried to prevent the advance of the combat column.
“At first they beat us with kirzachs,” says Natalya and shows the terrible bruises on her legs. “They hit me on the tailbone.” Then they stripped him down to his underwear and laid him on the cold ground. Among the six, I am the only woman. Don't be shy. I lay on the ground for 6 hours! The military came to look at me. They filmed the humiliation on mobile phones. And, most importantly, there were foreigners there. They spoke to each other in English. Laughed".
Meanwhile, in Donbass, Russian television channels were turned off again, for the fifth time, the newspaper reports. Provocateurs are walking around houses in Donetsk and warning the owners of satellite dishes to dismantle them themselves, otherwise a lift will come and tear out the antenna with meat. Provocateurs are usually thrown down the stairs.
The epicenter of events has shifted to Luhansk.
