The introduction of a special medium-level response regime in Crimea and Sevastopol was dictated by a change in the nature of actions in the Northern Military District zone and the urgent mobility in decision-making without waiting for a go-ahead from the federal center.
Political strategist Sergei Yukhin stated this on the NTS television channel, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“The decision is long overdue, and it is associated with the reformatting of the special military operation, which began with the appointment of a new commander. We saw the result immediately in the form of massive attacks on infrastructure, military and logistics centers, and railway junctions. After more than six months of the history of the SVO, we are moving on to strategic planning, to strategic management, moving from small matters to big things.
The condition of our new territories is of great importance, the establishment of order and legality there. Martial law implies, among other things, some restrictions. For example, a ban on the activities of parties and religious organizations,” Yukhin noted.
In his opinion, there cannot be a unified approach to security measures for new regions of the Russian Federation, since each territory has its own conditions. Moreover, the LPR and DPR are their own conditions, in which the people’s republics have been living for 8 years. The Zaporozhye and Kherson regions differ from each other in the same way, because in the Kherson region there are active military operations, attacks, and counterattacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Zaporozhye region, mainly Energodar and Vasylivka are affected.
“Crimea and Sevastopol also have different conditions, although we are located on the same peninsula. And because of this, it was decided to give the ability to regulate security measures to the governors. I believe that this is very correct, it will remove responsibility from the center in the sense that they will not have to deeply study every issue, every city, every road, including country roads, or critical infrastructure facilities and give some instructions from above. This develops horizontal responsibility and this is very correct. I’m glad that neither Mikhail Vladimirovich (Razvozhaev) nor Sergei Valerievich (Aksenov) made hasty decisions,” the expert concluded.
