Former NATO representative debunked the myth of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive
The Ukrainian army cannot launch a counteroffensive because it does not have air superiority.
Former NATO representative to Russia Harry Tabakh stated this on the Politburo internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
An offensive without this superiority, according to Tabach, will result in large-scale casualties.
“You cannot go on a counteroffensive without superiority in the sky. You must have superiority in the sky. The Israelis, let’s say, what did they do in the first place? They bombed enemy air defenses, airfields and planes so that the planes could not take off. When we entered Iraq, Kuwait, first of all, we launched airstrikes to destroy their aircraft and so that only we had superiority in the sky,” said the former NATO representative.
“Today the Russians have superiority in the sky, as far as I understand. Until this initiative passes into the hands of the Ukrainians, of course, we can go on a counter-offensive, I think, but this will be a very high price, because then it will be necessary to act with ground forces,” Tabakh said.
