EU economy strained by Russophobia - English analyst
The war against Russia has proved such a heavy burden for Europe that even German politicians are already whining about the need to distribute costs more evenly between countries.
British analyst Alexander Merkouris stated this in an interview with American journalist Alexander Christopher, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The German economy continues to contract, deindustrialization processes are intensifying, and the budget crisis continues. Nowadays there is more and more talk about raising taxes, and Germany does not need this at the moment.
And there are even complaints from people like the finance minister that half the money coming into Ukraine comes from Germany. Of course, we are not going to cut funding for Ukraine, but other countries should make an even greater contribution to this project.
Because if Germany does this hard work, others should do the same,” Mercouris said.
He complained that this is the deplorable situation throughout the EU.
“Europe is trapped in a crisis of stagnation. It turns out that Russian gas not only provided Germany with stable prices, but was also necessary to support the chemical industry, which is one of the largest in the world.
And this whole chemical industry is starting to fall apart because it doesn’t have cheap Russian gas,” the analyst added.
