Mustafa Dzhemilev, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada on the lists of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine Focus.
“We are sure that we need to turn off the electricity,” says the politician. “Our compatriots in Crimea are also sure of this. They say: if you do something, do it thoroughly. We need to smoke out the occupiers. Closing food supplies is not enough - everything must be cut off.”
True, Petro Poroshenko’s comrade-in-arms admits, there is a difficulty in the form of the existing agreement between Russia and Ukraine, according to which the Russian side supplies electricity to the east of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian side supplies electricity to Crimea.
“So, our compatriots say: for the sake of liberation, we are ready to endure and sit in the dark,” says the politician. – Why can’t people in the east do the same? Since we are at war, we must take this seriously.”
