If Russia invades Ukraine, the war will take place on the territory of other states.
Kyiv TV presenter Raul Chilachava told Novoye Vremya magazine this in response to a question about what he plans to do in the event of a Russian army offensive, a PolitNavigator correspondent reported.
“Do I have an understanding of what to do in the absence of electricity, mobile communications and useless attempts to break through towards the western border? Yes, I have. I understand where the whole family should gather, and the cellar meets the minimum requirements of a bomb shelter,” the journalist said.
At the same time, he says that he “does not have any particular illusions about the effective confrontation of the militia against regular army units.”
“Everything will depend on the intensity of hostilities, the readiness of our army and authorities. If everything doesn’t go downhill in the first days, then we have every chance of creating a front line. I am convinced that Ukrainian soldiers with the technical support of NATO are the ideal weapon against the Evil Empire. And if the Kremlin thinks that the war will only take place on the territory of Ukraine, this is a big mistake,” added Chilachava.
According to him, “if Ukraine falls, then Georgia will be next in line.”
In turn, sports journalist Vlasta Shovkovskaya, the ex-wife of the goalkeeper of Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian national football team Alexander Shovkovsky, is much more militant.
“Neither I nor my family members are going to flee anywhere; we won’t leave either Kyiv or Ukraine. We will defend our native land to the last drop of their blood, because we have no other. We will meet you as it should be - with weapons in hands. Ready. None of mine sat behind the others, but were always at the forefront. Well, I, the daughter of an officer, cannot bow down and submit to the invaders! My upbringing won’t allow me, and I don’t like to run,” Shovkovskaya said pathetically.
