It was planned that the championship would take place from June 12 to July 12, 2020 in 12 European cities: St. Petersburg, London, Munich, Baku, Rome, Bucharest, Dublin, Copenhagen, Bilbao, Glasgow, Budapest and Amsterdam. Now the tournament will be held from June 11 to July 11.

The decision to postpone the European Football Championship was made for the first time in history.
