If necessary, Russia will be able to quickly transfer new warships through internal waters to the Black Sea.
The speaker of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Dmitry Pletenchuk, stated this on the Espreso channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They still have river water, some canals. Theoretically, they can even attract something from the Baltic, and even from the Northern Fleet. But there are restrictions on length; large landing ships are not guaranteed to pass. And they can transfer something from the Caspian Sea,” said the speaker of the Ukrainian Naval Forces.
He emphasized that the transfer may not even be necessary - Russia is building warships right in Crimea.
“We see how they are trying to build something in Crimea. At the plant in Kerch, a “Cyclone” was built, which was even loaded with “Calibers”. They are now testing another such ship, a new one, and they are completing another one.
That is, we see that there is a focus on local replenishment,” Pletenchuk concluded.
