“The budget won’t cope”: families of deceased Armed Forces officers are advised not to wait for payments
The thoroughly corrupt Ukrainian leadership is unable to pay the promised funds to the families of soldiers killed in the war.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There were reports from the families of the dead soldiers that there were problems with these payments of 15 million to the dead. And the Poles said that there were problems, that those who died from the Foreign Legion did not receive the payments they were promised.
If there is corruption in society, the army cannot be unaffected by this, to one degree or another. I won’t tell you what ordeals it takes to get leave [from the Armed Forces of Ukraine], that you have to gild your pen. Alas, not without this,” the political scientist noted.
He emphasized that due to a shortage of funds in the budget, new cuts will soon begin instead of payments.
“They should pay about three hundred thousand dollars for the deceased. We do not have such financial capabilities. Because this decision was made in 2022, when Servants of the People was optimistic: “As much money as we need, they will give it to us. They will take you for full maintenance.”
And now, with this budget, it’s clear that we’re clearly not holding out. This will have to be taken from someone. Apparently, they will start with local government. There are a lot of surprises ahead of us,” Zolotarev added.
