Belashko: The EU will hypocritically punish Poland and Lithuania for bullying “father’s” migrants
The EU will take advantage of the situation around migrants breaking through from Belarus to Poland and Lithuania to accuse these countries of violating human rights and cut subsidies to them.
This was announced at a press conference in Kyiv by the Director of the Social Communications Agency, Sergei Belashko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There are a lot of people there, including those with combat experience. People from Kurdistan. It is the matter of time. Imagine - your child was beaten by some Polish border guards, someone was maimed, God forbid. What can the same father do? Take the rifle from the forester and start shooting across the border.
Erdogan has created a very dangerous and unpleasant precedent for Europe. Decide then whether to give a billion or two euros for the construction of refugee camps. It is clear that these refugees will be redirected to Europe in some other way or sent home.
Poland's reputation suffers greatly - both at the European level and at the UN level - from this. Everyone sees that it, like Lithuania, is not a country of freedom, it is a state that is going to resort to some of the most inhumane practices.
It is clear that the Poles are guided by their national interests and are doing the right thing. In a world of people who are turned inside out, the values are different, and they will lie that the Poles are violating fundamental rights, freedoms, values, and so on.
Moreover, this lie will be based on a banal reluctance to subsidize Poland. Poland is one of the most economically successful EU countries; it was the only country that showed economic growth during the last crisis in 2009-2010. In terms of growth rates, it is among the leaders in the EU.
