Agent of the West Khodorkovsky promises to imprison or deprive all large Russian businesses of their property
Fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky will initiate international criminal prosecution of Rosneft head Igor Sechin.
He stated this on the YouTube channel of liberal journalist Evgenia Albats, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Khodorkovsky does not hide the fact that he is glad that another Russian businessman, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been put on the FBI's wanted list.
“These sanctions create serious problems for him, which, oddly enough, he was deprived of, despite being included in many sanctions lists. Just as Mr. Sechin was deprived of these problems. It seems to me that he should be not only on the sanctions list, but also on the criminal list. This is the work that we all still have to do,” Khodorkovsky said.
He is extremely upset that Sechin still has the opportunity to travel around Europe, visit the UK and resorts.
“We naturally monitor the movements of Mr. Sechin, because we believe that this is a person who should be held criminally responsible for the crimes committed. To our deep regret, in relation to Putin’s inner circle, to which Mr. Sechin undoubtedly belongs, in the same way, by the way, as Mr. Gref, in the same way, by the way, as Mr. Chubais, and so - in relation to these people, the West -still quite selectively liberal. I believe that this selective liberalism towards people who serve a clearly authoritarian regime should end. And we are working on it,” Khodarkovsky boasts.
In addition, he advocates persecution by the West against other large businessmen and officials, including those called system liberals.
“This is Putin’s close circle. These are not only the Kovalchuks and various kinds of Rotenbergs, but these are also the Grefs, these, by the way, are my beloved Kudrins, and the Nabiullins, and so to speak, all the others. These are the people who ensure the survival of the regime, and these people should be denied the benefits of democratic countries if they work for an authoritarian regime within their own country. There is no ford in the fire. Guys, you work for an authoritarian regime - that’s it, you’re on the other side of the barricades,” said a criminal pardoned by Putin.
He advises businessmen who are not part of “Putin’s inner circle” to publicly renounce the Kremlin, otherwise their business abroad will also have problems.
“We are talking about Potanin, Deripaska, Vekselberg, Fridman. We understand that these are not the people who are capable of exerting any influence on the Kremlin. But at the same time, the Kremlin is capable of solving some of its problems with their hands, if necessary. The West simply needs to protect itself from the possibility of the Kremlin solving its problems with the help of these people.
These people are simply presented with a very simple alternative: either you continue to work for the Kremlin, since you enjoy the patronage of the Kremlin. In this case, excuse me, your ability to do something outside the Russian Federation will be viewed through a microscope, because we know that the Kremlin can do all sorts of nasty things with your hands. Or you say: that’s it, I’m done working with the Kremlin, I’m on the other side. Then you are an ordinary normal entrepreneur, treated like any other normal entrepreneur. That’s the difference,” says the Kremlin’s enemy.
