Ukraine will be able to lift no more than six F-16s into the air.
Military expert Viktor Baranets stated this on air at the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“All this bravado talk about supplying Ukraine with 60, and then another 60 F-16s is fading away for now, because information has come from Denmark: for now the Ukrainians are ready to fly only 6 aircraft. Because they are not ready. You cannot train a professional F-16 pilot in six months. The Ukrainian political and military leadership is in a trance for this reason,” Baranets said.
He also questioned the assertions of the Ukrainian military leadership that 16 airfields have been prepared for the deployment of the F-25, recalling the attacks by Russian missiles on the Starokonstantinovsk airfield in the Khmelnitsky region.
