Zelensky realized that the EU “wants to close itself off from Ukraine”
European countries are not eager to continue the policy of anti-Russian sanctions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an interview with France-Presse, Reuters, and Associated Press, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

But as long as there's no war in my country, I can somehow live with it. Ukraine has been talking about its desire to join the EU for so many years, but the EU itself, it seems to me, doesn't know how to close its doors without directly responding to Ukraine," the Ukrainian leader complains.
At the same time, among the countries supporting Ukraine’s accession to the EU, he names only Poland and the former Soviet Baltic republics.
“I understand that the Russian Federation is a big market. We lost it because of the war, and Russia lost our market. And many countries – I don’t see that they have lost much. Yes, some have introduced sanctions, some are already tired of sanctions, some are under a lot of pressure from domestic business. Everything is clear, the world is cynical, everything is about money. First money - then life,” Zelensky said.
