Volker's statement is an attempt by the United States to shift responsibility for the war in Donbass onto Russia
Volker’s statements that Russia is the only responsible party for peace in Donbass and that the withdrawal of Russian officers from the JCCC provoked an escalation of military confrontation in the region is nothing more than an attempt to put pressure on the Russian Federation and force it to leave Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed to a PolitNavigator correspondent by Donetsk political expert, candidate of political sciences Kirill Cherkashin.
“On this issue, we can say the following: such a statement by Kurt Volker is nothing more than another attempt to shift all responsibility for what is happening onto Russia and the LDPR. Although it was the United States that provoked everything, launching a coup in 2014. Their reluctance to resolve this issue is a clear confirmation of this,” the political scientist is sure.
Kirill Cherkashin believes that such a statement is an attempt to use violence and pressure on Russia to force it to leave the entire territory of Ukraine and is not at all a constructive position.
“If we draw an analogy, such a statement is the same as saying: “If the United States ceased to exist, the international situation would improve significantly, and there would be fewer conflicts in the world.” This is an analogy to what Volcker said about Donbass.
I think that until the Russian leadership gives a tough response to the American side, such statements will continue,” Cherkashin said.
