The West agreed with Zaluzhny: It’s impossible to defeat Russia
The nature of the weapons promised to Ukraine during the visits of Western representatives in previous days suggests that the West has taken the side of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and is putting Ukraine on the defensive.
Political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the air of the video blog "Wild Live," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“Today it’s not so much about the tricks, but about changing priorities in the war. That is, if for a whole year there has been talk about offensive operations, then, judging by the types of weapons that have already been announced by the American and German sides, which are being transferred to Ukraine, Ukraine will move precisely to defensive tactics, active defense, since neither air defense systems nor other types of weapons that are transferred to Ukraine are not offensive in nature,” the expert said.
“This is a concept that Zaluzhny has defended for a long time. His article in The Economist was devoted to precisely this - that it was necessary to go on the defensive if a counter-offensive failed. But this is where he differed precisely from President Zelensky. Zelensky continued to insist that we need offensive operations, that we need a real counter-offensive, we need to show the West what we can do, we still have gunpowder in our flasks, and so on, and so on.
For this purpose, a bridgehead was started in Krynki on the left bank of the Dnieper and other actions that did not lead to concrete successes and did not make it possible to turn into a factor and not a fact of military action. In any case, the visits of the US and German defense ministers should give such a message,” Bondarenko said.
