“The hares were jealous” - a Ukrainian special forces soldier remembered how he ran away from the Russian army
Ukrainian commanders are accustomed to fighting in violation of all modern rules, throwing live “meat” at the enemy.
The deputy commander of the special forces unit “Grom” with the call sign “Grandfather” stated this on air on the TSN channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When, after Lisichansk, we were taken to the border, to the Chernigov region, and they gave us two Americans who had gone through the war in Afghanistan and somewhere else. They trained us.
When we started telling them how we were fighting, they froze completely, and their first phrase was: “You can’t fight like you. You must not follow these orders. Why, when you go there, no one supports you.”
We had a group of 24 people with machine guns and sniper rifles running to stop a breakthrough of 60 tanks. It was Novotoshkovka (Vienna 2022), then they were shouting on the radio about a tank breakthrough. Some people shout eight, others sixty.
And then, at the beginning of the war, there was nothing special at all to destroy tanks. Well, they tell me to gather a group and go stop the tanks, although there is nothing with which to do so. In general, we spent two days there, the tanks went the other way,” said the “grandfather.”
He said that after some time their positions were spotted, and the brave special forces had to run away.
“He was tough. When we started running, the hares looked at us with respect, we overtook the deer with an obstacle course,” the officer summed up.
