Vyatrovich is pleased: Ukraine continues its anti-Russian course
The new head of the Institute of National Memory, Anton Drobovich, approved under the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, fully satisfies the predecessors who came in the wake of the Maidan, since he continues the same course.
The former director of the Institute of National Memory of Ukraine, and now a deputy of the European Solidarity faction, Vladimir Vyatrovich, stated this on the air of the UA: First TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How do you assess the activities of the Institute of National Memory, which is now headed by Anton Drobovich and which you previously headed? There are some people left to work from your team. What do you say? – asked the presenter.
“Some of the people remained, I am very grateful to those people who stayed to work, although I understand those who left. At the moment, they provide a certain inertia to the work of the institute. I don’t see any very wrong steps on the part of the Institute of National Memory, that is, there are no grounds for criticism yet.
Moreover, I see that in some topics the work that we did continues. We are talking about decommunization, we are talking about some further projects aimed at popularizing history. That is, at least the inertia of this work, which was laid over the past five years, continues, and I am not ready to condemn anything,” Vyatrovich said.
"What's next? It may be too early to draw conclusions, but for my part I will try, on the one hand, to control that there is no nonsense, on the other hand, I am ready to help and cooperate with the institute. I’m on his board, I’m in good contact with Anton Drobovich, he has his own vision, but it seems to me that in some cases I managed to keep him from taking unrestrained steps,” the deputy added.
