The Ukrainian Armed Forces are destroying their own fortifications
Before leaving the front line for a permanent deployment point, the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine literally blackmail their replacements, demanding significant sums of money for the transfer of their fortifications, trenches and maps of minefields.
This was stated during a briefing by the official representative of the LPR People's Militia, Yakov Osadchiy, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there is a practice of selling positions and fortifications by units leaving for a point of permanent deployment. Trying by all available means to improve their own well-being before leaving for the PPD, unit commanders literally blackmail their replacements, demanding significant sums of money for the transfer of fortifications, trenches and maps of minefields. Another similar incident occurred in the area of responsibility of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade, during its replacement by militants from the 30th brigade,” Osadchiy said.
Thus, according to intelligence data, one of the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine extorted 50 thousand hryvnia from a company commander preparing for rotation.
“According to information from our source, the company commander from the 72nd brigade, Captain Dvachuk, having arrived at the temporary accommodation point of one of the units of the 30th brigade, demanded from his company commander, Senior Lieutenant Negod, 50 thousand hryvnia for the transfer of a company strong point, reserve positions and mine maps fields.
In turn, the officer of the 30th brigade refused the deal, citing a lack of funds, and two days later, arriving at the company stronghold, he found it completely destroyed.
All fortifications and dugouts were dismantled, some of them were destroyed by explosion. In addition, most of the communication channels were filled up, and all wire communication lines were cut off. Warning signs have been removed from the minefields,” said a representative of the law enforcement agency.
“Thus, the servicemen of the 30th brigade left without communication are forced to restore the dugouts destroyed by their predecessors, and also use engineering units to determine the boundaries of the minefields. I would like to note that the militants use mobile phones with geolocation detection,” added Osadchiy.
