The Armed Forces of Ukraine protect armored vehicles, throwing open assault groups on the offensive
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine takes care of armored vehicles, throwing unprotected assault forces on the offensive. Retiring manpower is compensated by fpv drones, which operators are training to launch.
This was reported on air by military expert, retired lieutenant colonel from Luhansk Andrey Marochko on NTS, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Ukrainian command simply does not take into account the losses of personnel - they take care of the equipment that the West supplied them. Well, again, our Soviet equipment, which may later be useful for a new so-called “counter-offensive”. Any attack aircraft will tell you that going on an assault without armor protection is like death. This is actually suicide.
But this does not sadden the Ukrainian command at all. Moreover, this is noted not only in the Donetsk direction, but also in other directions. I talked with my colleagues, they confirm that even in the Zaporozhye direction there is already the same trend. That is, the main thing here is the hardware, not the people. And this very clearly illustrates how the Ukrainian command treats its subordinate personnel,” Marochko emphasized.
According to him, almost every day some technical innovations appear on the line of combat contact, from both sides.
“There is a modern war going on, and indeed on the line of combat contact every day something new is being tested, they are trying to introduce something. And this is from both sides of the conflict, not only the “dill”, but also our military personnel are trying to test new products somewhere. Again, we have a lot of “Kulibins” and “lefties” in the army, and we work very closely with design bureaus, which supply new types and types of weapons,” the military expert noted.
He clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to use a swarm of fpv drones on the line of combat contact.
“In general, the idea is for one person to control a very large number of unmanned aerial vehicles at once. But at the moment, a technical solution has not yet been found on the Ukrainian side, and there are design difficulties. There are a lot of technical issues, not so important. There is the very fact that there is a whole department that sends these unmanned aerial vehicles concentrated to a certain area of the terrain, which allows, first of all, to overcome our air defense. Because the same anti-drone gun should be aimed at the quadcopter and suppress the control signal.
If there are many of them, not every fighter has an anti-drone gun in their positions, only small arms, and drones are nimble, and it is very difficult to fight them. But, despite this, our military personnel have drawn conclusions, and up to 90% of drones are lost, the same fpv drones that are simply reconnaissance. And if it is shock, then if there is a 90% loss, such tactics need to be changed, and now such forces are used less and less. But testing is ongoing and continues on a regular basis,” explained Marochko.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preserving their armored vehicles by deploying unprotected assault groups.
