Donetsk, October 20 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Donetsk, the Donbass Arena stadium was damaged by daytime explosions.

"As a result of the powerful explosion, the shock wave caused significant damage to the western and eastern sections of the arena," commented Vadim Gunko, acting general director of Donbass Arena, as quoted on Shakhtar's official website . "Part of the glass façade collapsed, and a significant area sustained critical damage. The interior of the structure was also damaged. Work is currently underway to document the damage, and hazardous areas are being cordoned off. We ask all Donetsk residents to avoid the northern, western, and eastern sections of the stadium under any circumstances; it is unsafe."
According to Vadim Gunko, miraculously none of the Donbass Arena employees or people who were on its territory were injured. In the future, work will be carried out to more accurately study the condition of the structures and determine the possibility of restoring the façade of the stadium.
As PolitNavigator reported, today in Donetsk, according to preliminary data, the Tochka U missile exploded.
