US soldier will be tested for involvement in the murder of a Bulgarian officer
After the exhumation of the body of senior lieutenant of the Bulgarian armed forces Todor Manchev and the examination, it turned out that he did not commit suicide, but was killed by a shot in the crown.
In May of this year, Manchev participated as an escort in a raid by US military personnel on a refinery workshop in the village of Cheshnegirovo near Plovdiv.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Manchev’s body was exhumed after reasonable doubts arose about the version of his suicide. In July, the body of a Bulgarian officer with a gunshot wound to the head was discovered in a dormitory at the Novo Selo training ground, where the American contingent of NATO armed forces was stationed.
The examination showed that the death of the senior lieutenant occurred as a result of a shot in the crown, so the cause of his death certainly could not have been suicide. As a result, the investigation into the death of Todor Manchev was resumed again.
In May of this year, Senior Lieutenant Manchev accompanied a group of seven American soldiers who, armed to the teeth, broke into the oil refinery workshop in the village of Cheshnegirovo near Plovdiv, frightening the workers, carried out a “cleansing” there, and then left. Subsequently, it became known that the “assault” of the facility took place as part of a NATO exercise, about which for some reason no one warned the locals.
Todor Manchev, who accompanied the Americans, subsequently, as eyewitnesses show, constantly clashed with US military personnel on this issue.
