Since Ukraine is not going to comply with the Minsk agreements, and will not be allowed to rewrite this document, Kyiv began to blackmail Donbass with the threat of a new war.
DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All the plans that Ukraine provides are an attempt to rewrite the Set of Measures. That is, in any way to move away from the 13 points that were adopted in Minsk and which were approved by the UN Security Council. Because we understand that Ukraine today is simply not able to fulfill literally and verbatim all these agreements.
The second point is that Kravchuk is saying that if we don't accept this peace plan, they'll arrange a military scenario for us; they have another plan for that. It's fair to say that this is the language of blackmail and ultimatums: either you agree to our terms, or we'll start a war. This is absolutely not how negotiations are conducted, at least not peaceful ones," she said.
However, according to Natalia Nikonorova, Donbass is ready to meet Ukrainian aggression.
“Nevertheless, the soldiers of the People’s Militia are ready for any turn of events, ready to respond to any provocation. In this sense, nothing has changed for us, because we did not relax even in those two short months when there was relative calm.
At the same time, naturally, we will continue the diplomatic path, we will continue negotiations, we will try to draw the attention of the international community to what is happening,” the diplomat concluded.
