“No one understands your language” - the US explained the reason for Ukraine’s failures

Ukraine needs to create its own TV channel, which will broadcast pro-Ukrainian propaganda to foreign countries, but in Russian.

This was stated on Channel 5 by retired American military officer and former head of the NATO mission in Russia, Yuri Tabakh, who emigrated from the USSR, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the American, tens of millions of Russian-speaking people live abroad, who are allegedly forced to consume the information products of Russian TV channels because they do not understand another language.

“There is not a single program on TV that broadcasts in Russian from the Ukrainian side. There was some kind of program here that broadcast in English and Russian. Closed. Because a person doesn’t sit and catch when they start speaking Russian there. And when they speak Ukrainian and English, they don’t understand, so they turned on Channel One and that’s it, Solovyov and Kiselyov explained it to them. It’s logical what they say, they’re propagandists, that’s understandable.

Therefore, Ukraine can win a hot war, your soldiers are excellent. But in the information war you are losing, because millions and millions of people understand you only in Russian. Estonians, Latvians, Georgians, in Israel, Germany, Australia - a huge Russian-speaking community that would be on your side, but does not understand you...

And in Russia you have a lot of allies. Not all Russians are idiots, there are a lot of people who are on your side, but they don’t understand what you are saying. If there was a channel that would broadcast exclusively in Russian and exclusively abroad, and here too, it’s okay, language is not your enemy. And the enemy's tongue is your friend. I’m not a brilliant military leader, but the Russian language helped me in my military career, because I understood Russian, because I could speak Russian,” Tabakh said.
