Today, two unknown guys threw a Molotov cocktail at the car of Uzhgorod Maidan activist Yuriy Svitlyk, parked in the yard, from the passenger seat.

Neighbors saw that the attackers returned to the scene twice, since the guys probably failed to hit the bottle the first time. The neighbors also put out the fire themselves, as other vehicles were parked nearby in the yard. According to the activist, when he went down to the car, the fire had already been virtually extinguished.

As the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region reported, as a result of arson, the interior, seats, panel, and steering wheel of the car burned down. A crime complaint has been registered. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Article 194
Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate destruction or damage to property by arson). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 10 years.
