Two Russian sailors died in the Mediterranean Sea after jumping from the deck of the cruiser Moskva. The incident occurred last spring during the voyage of the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet near the coast of Greece.
A criminal case has been opened and is being investigated by the prosecutor's office, the Central Naval Portal reports.

The publication puts forward the version that the tragedy occurred due to the heavy load on the crew, which two sailors could not withstand.
“The commander explained that the schedule was behind and we needed to do a little work. It happened that everyone worked until 5 in the morning, and then without rest, without anything, they immediately went on duty... After the emergency, the entire crew was given rest,” the publication says.
