In Slavyansk they rose up against Bandera
The Slavyansk City Council sued the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" to ban a nationalist torchlight procession in honor of Bandera, which was planned for January 1.

At the same time, the local court did not see any illegal actions in this event and allowed the procession. After the announcement of the court verdict, the mayor of the city of Slavyansk, Vadim Lyakh, told journalists of the S-Plus TV channel the reason for filing the lawsuit, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let’s analyze the situation: for every 30 residents of our city, there will be about 100 visitors from different cities of Ukraine who will walk through our city with torches. It turns out that in their cities, law enforcement agencies do not allow such actions, and they come to Slavyansk to make noise, wave torches - to hold this action in our city. The question arises: “If last year happens again, who will I sue? Probably not the organizers of the action or those who allowed it to take place?” asked the mayor of the city.
Let us remind you that at the same protest a year ago in the same Slavyansk there was an explosion. Fortunately, no one was hurt then. The investigation determined that the explosive package was thrown by a participant in the procession, but the identity of the thrower could not be established. It is for this reason that the mayor of the city, Vadim Lyakh, filed a lawsuit against the organizers of the action.
“We are interested in torches and that there is order in the city during the procession. Let me note that these actions are exclusively political in nature. The marches begin as a celebration of the New Year, and end with shouts and insults against the local authorities and residents of our city,” Lyakh emphasized.
