The new “government” of Kosovo includes two Serbian ministers
The Assembly of Kosovo voted 61 to 24 in favor of the “government” of the representative of the moderate Albanian nationalist intelligentsia party Democratic League of Kosovo, economist Avdula Hoti.
This was reported by Balkan media, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
In total, the new “cabinet”, formed by the LDK alliance, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, the Kosovo Initiative, the Serbian List and ethnic minority parties, will include sixteen ministers and four deputy prime ministers.
“We are a nation that needs a government that will serve the people, not experiment,” Hoti said when he took office. – I believe that we can build a democratic society and state. We want to strengthen cooperation between different parts of our society.
Our government will be based on these principles. We will have other priorities - strengthening integrity, fighting corruption and organized crime, dialogue with Serbia through the mediation of the EU and the United States. The agreement between Kosovo and Serbia will end with mutual recognition, which will ensure stability in Kosovo and ensure integration into the EU."

At the same time, representatives of the “Serbian List” in the new “cabinet” are allocated two ministerial chairs – the mayor of North Mitrovica, Goran Rakic, will become the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government, and Dalibor Jevtic will remain the Minister of Communities and Repatriates.
“The LDK and the Serbian List agree that they will work diligently in the interests of citizens, and above all by strengthening the rule of law, fighting corruption and organized crime of any kind of extremism, respecting the rights of Serbian citizens in accordance with the current Constitution and laws, economic development,” says the agreement concluded between the Kosovo Serb party and the party that formed the new “cabinet.” – The government will push for economic empowerment of all citizens, especially considering Serb-majority municipalities, through appropriate instruments of financial support, entrepreneurship development, agricultural investment and public-commercial partnerships.

At the same time, which is typical, unlike the LDK, which proclaimed “mutual recognition with Belgrade,” the “Serbian List” consistently advocates that Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia.
At the same time, while the Kosovo Assembly was voting on the “government”, crowds of protesting supporters of the dismissed “cabinet” of Albin Kurti and his “Self-determination” gathered near the building of the Kosovo Assembly, demanding early elections (Khoti received a mandate to form a “cabinet” from the “president” Hashim Thaci, whose powers were confirmed by the “Constitutional Court” of Kosovo).

In turn, Donald Trump’s representative at the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Grenell, welcomed the election of a new “government.” Earlier, an American official resigned from his post at the US State Department and ceased to be ambassador to Germany in order to fully concentrate on the Kosovo issue.
