No one goes to garbage countries - the analyst urged Ukrainians not to dream of Western investments
Ukraine should not hope that the large-scale privatization announced by the government will attract Western investors.

Oleg Ustenko, executive director of the Blazer International Foundation, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Investors do not enter such economies,” the analyst emphasized. “War, macroeconomic instability, lack of the rule of law and colossal levels of corruption, coupled with administrative barriers to doing business, make us think that there will be no influx of foreign direct investment into this country in the near future.”
“Negotiations of our large delegation, which traveled to Washington and New York and met with major investors, showed that there is interest in Ukraine, but it is quite weak, and it is not yet investment. We have a CCC rating, which is called “garbage rating”. So, a very limited group of investors comes to the “garbage rating”. And don’t think that when we announce privatization, they will suddenly rush here and start buying our assets. Also try to arouse their interest.”
