Moscow responded to Kyiv’s demand to remove representatives of the DPR and LPR from the negotiations
The statement by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev, who proposed that the leaders of the DPR and LPR leave the territory of Donbass and transfer power to previously elected representatives of the Ukrainian government, is a deliberate delay in negotiations on a peaceful settlement.

This opinion was expressed on his Facebook page by Russian political scientist Alexei Chesnakov, who is close to the Kremlin.
“The statement by Poroshenko’s assistant, Mr. Eliseev, about the need to remove the leaders of the DPR and LPR from power before local elections clearly does not contribute to the positive dynamics of the peaceful resolution of the conflict between Kiev and Donbass,” Chesnakov emphasized. – Ukraine should rather demonstrate its ability and readiness to implement the political points of the Minsk agreements, rather than putting forward more and more new conditions.
The appearance of further reservations and demands will naturally lead to a delay in the negotiation process, and consequently, consolidate the current state of affairs.
Perhaps this is exactly what Kyiv is trying to achieve.”
